Smart Inbox - Case Number is being sorted as a string instead as an integer/number

Hi,

I've noticed the next bug, which would be nice if it would get resolved.

With a Smart Inbox created, I've noticed that the ascending and descending options for Case Number value do not work as expected, as it seems it treats Case Number as a string and not as an integer.

Please see the attached screenshot for more info.

Kind regards,

Dejan

UPDATE:

The same issue persists for (main) inbox with custom columns, for which one of them is Case Number.

I suspect that this issue is present also in the (main) inbox with default columns.

Kind regards,

Dejan

Dear Dejan,

Thank you for letting us know your questions.

What you are reporting is the usual implementation for the Case numbering in Bizagi Studio: the values are set as String so that their ordering may be defined in whatever manner the Business requirements choose to (use of alphanumeric codes, prefixes, suffixes, etc.)

In order to solve the issue you report about the ordering of cases, we would recommend that you use a system set of more than one digit, e.g. "001, 002, ..., 010, 011, ..., 998, 999" so that the order will be followed in a way that makes more sense.

We hope this helps you solve the situation of weird ordering in cases.

Best regards,
