Process Versioning
Hello,
Could you please give information about how Bizagi manages process versioning?
As you know, this is one of the most important topic for BPM solutions and the process definitions might need to be changed for real world applications. What will be the scenario for in-flight instances? Can we migrate instances which are already in-flight? If yes, here another question comes to minds that, is there any approach Bizagi provides us bulk migration? For instance we would like to cancel some of the tasks in the process and make a new version of process. For that reason, we also need to update, migrate former instances of process version.
Thanks in advance.
Best regards.
Ercan
Dear Ercan,
The management of Process versions offers the client the possibility to flexibly implement the improvements that result from the performance analysis of the Processes and the company’s continuous improvement process. The developments and improvements of the Processes in Production must be evaluated before implementing them to define whether they require the creation of a new version of the Process in order to guarantee the compatibility of the functions in Production, that is, open cases must end with the version of the Process they were created in.
