What is the difference betwen parallel gateway and complex gateway in the context of divergence?

Hi all,

I am very sorry if this topic is already discussed or my question has its answer somewhere. The only reason to post it here is that i didn't find any and I am new in developing this area of knowledge for myself.

My exact question is about the main and business logic difference between the parallel gateway and the complex gateway in the context of divergence?

In which case I should use the one, and in which I should use the other?

Thank you very much in advance for your feedback.

Dear Krystina,

According your problem, Gateways are used to control the divergence and convergence of sequence flows. They determine ramifications, bifurcations, combinations and merges in the Process. The term “Gateway” implies that there is a gating mechanism that either allows or disallows passage through the Gateway.

The following article explains description of each gateway: http://help.bizagi.com/processmodeler/en/index.html?gateways.htm
