Good afternoon Herbert, the Attached event is administrated from the Task menu, you can access it by right clicking in the task, see the attached picture in this topic.
If you want to remove an Attached event, please select it by clicking the connector (arrow) and press Delete.

Work-around: If I mark the sequence flow, coming out of the attached event, I can change the attached event to "Non interrupting" :

Sorry, this was not a solution to the problem described.
I show you the two steps in the attached file, created with 3.7.0.123 Step 1 is o.k., Step 2 is missing in 3.8.0.206.
