Party organization exercise from e-learning

Dear Bizagi team,

I was doing the Party organization exercise from your e-learning system (great, by the way) and I stumbled upon the following: when I ran your solution through the simulator it never hired a band, i.e. the process never went through one of the paths. This is kind of confusing for me since I was expecting at least some instances (of a thousand) to take the route. Could you please explain?

Thank you.

Dear Dimiter,

Simulation does not take all ways after a gateway based on events. It is a designed characteristic.

Considerations:

Before creating a simulation model take into account the following considerations:

•The following BPMN elements are not supported by the simulation engine:

  • Multiple events: Start, Intermediate and End.
  • Complex gateways.
  • Event based gateways followed by none intermediate events or tasks.
  • Multiple instance tasks.
  • Multiple instance Sub-processes.

•The following diagrams are not supported by the simulation engine:

  • BPMN Choreography diagrams.
  • BPMN Conversation diagrams.
  • Transactional process.
  • Ad Hoc process.
