missing collaboration object

When I try to import a bpmn file into the modeller I get an error messag "There is a missing collaboration object" (picture 1) and cannot import the file. It probably relates to another issue, which is that there is a reference to a proces file in the online model (picture 2), which doesn't exist when I open the model in the modeller (picture 3). I tried to delete some processes in these folder and I think there must be an old reference, that hasn't been deleted in the online model. Can you help with a solution? Is there a way to delete the reference to the old proces in the online model?

Hi Per,

We apologise for the slow response. Can you try these steps please?

1) From the first screen shot it appears that you are able to open the model without issue but get an error when you attempt to save the file. Can you try saving the file locally, please? File > Save As > This PC

2) If you still get an error here, you may need to just delete a diagram from the file.Right click on the diagram tab > Remove

3) Try to save locally again.

4) If you are able to save locally without error, try to save to the clound under a new new name,

5) If this has been succuessful, you can then remove the old file from the cloud by clicking on 'Models' to reach the top of the hierarchy and then clicking the 3 dots options to see the 'delete' option.

Please let us know if this has resolved your issue, we look forward from hearing from you.

Kind regards,

David Foster

Hi David

1-3 works fine, but from 4 I get into problems. I cannot save any changes to any diagram in the model. I have other models that works fine and I can import diagrams without problems to these models.

I cannot carry out 5. There is a kind of "ghost" diagram, that locks the model (see picture 2). When I try to edit/delete this diagram, I get a error message (see picture 4). I can only see this diagram in the cloud - when I open the model in modeller, the diagram doesn't exist (hence I cannot delete).

This error locks for any new saving into the model. How can I delete this digram from the cloud, when "Remove" only exist the modeller?!

In the end I perhaps need to save all diagrams in the model locally, delete the model, create a new model and import the diagrams into the new model - but I'd rather avoid it if possible.

Best regards,

Per

Hi Per,

I am sorry that you having this issue, I can appreciate that this will be frustrating. The model in the cloud environment is likely corrupted somehow.

At step 3 were you able to save the file locally but under a different name? From there I'd expect that you should be able to remove any unneeded diagrams, but you say that the diagram isn't there in the local file at all, is this correct?

By having a separate file on your machine with a different name, saving to the cloud would be a separate save and we could then delete the old model completely.

Please confirm that you have tried these steps, thank you.

Our last option may be to recreate the model as you have mentioned in the last sentence. I will find out if there is anything we can do to recover the missing diagram to resolve the issue.

Kind regards,

David Foster

Hi David

Well now I've exported all the diagrams, created a new model, and imported into this. The new model works fine (using the same diagrams). But the old model is somehow corrupted and I cannot delete the model, but it will have to be left there without being used.

Thanks for your help.

Best regards
