Message flows between signals

In the help file http://help.bizagi.com/processmodeler/en/index.html?multiple_pools.htm it says that you can draw message flows between throwing and catching events start, intermediate and end.

  1. However I only succeed in doing that for message intermediate events but not for signal intermediate events? Only if I copy the connected message events and then change the type to link the links is established.
  2. And it is also not possible to connect a message or link start event with an message or link end event in another pool? There is actually now connection symbol appearing (except for the annotation symbol) when hovering over an end event.

Dear Geert,

According to BPMN 2.0 specification, message flows can only be used to connect pools, sub-process, tasks and message type events (Start, Intermediate and End). In the following image, you can see the table with the connection rules of message flows. The arrow pointing up in a cell indicates that the item in the row can connect to the item in the column. According to the above events can not connect type Signal.

Finally, If the figure with which you want to connect is highlighted, then it means that you can connect both of them. If it doesn't highlight it is because the BPMN standard does not allow the connection between the two selected shapes (i.e. between two signals).
