licensing for companys!

Hello!! My director tested and liked the free processing modeler and asked me if we can use it in our company.

Is there any legal issue that would keep our company from using the free software??Regards,Eduardo Nicacio

Dear Eduardo,

Bizagi Modeler is a freeware application that you can download from the internet and use in a desktop or portable computer.

Based on feedback from the Bizagi user community there is now an option to remove the Bizagi logo from the documentation and use your own company logo. Bizagi Modeler, with its full functionality, is and will stay freeware. If you must remove our Bizagi logo and thus, remove our marketing mechanism, you will be asked for a small contribution that will be used to further improve this freeware and benefit the whole community.

I brought BizAGI Process Modeler to a client and recommended it because it is free. When they contacted BizAGI about licensing, they were told that it is not free and they are required to buy a workgroup license even though they have no desire to use online storage from BizAGI.

The feedback one of you sales people gave is contrary to my experience with BizAGI Process Modeler that goes back a decade. Has policy changed such that a personal license shall not be used for a commercial purpose? I wish I had known this before telling my client that this tool is freeware.

I see!! And what about concurrent users? How many of then can i have on an Enterprise environment? Can i have more then one user working on the same file at the same time with the freeware?

Dear Eduardo,

Bizagi BPM Suite licensing model is very simple: it is based on User licenses. You need a separate User License for each unique user in your production environment. A User license is not a software product; rather it is a license that gives an end user the right to participate in a running process and to access the services of the Bizagi Engine. The server itself does not require any license. You only need to license Users (process participants) in the production environment. This purchase also gives you the right to use Bizagi free of charge in development and testing environments for the same number of users you purchased in production. These environments can be used only for the purpose of developing and testing, and under no circumstances can be used in production to handle real requirements and transactions.

Hi.

Is your software price based on the number of users?

The number of developers who work on the software or the number of employees using this software?

Our company has two senior developers working with your software to generate process and programming.

The factories or companies that we intend to build software for them may have several employees who want to work with software produced by your BPMS.

How do you calculate the number of users?

Thanks

Dear Hamidreza,

Bizagi Studio as well as Bizagi Modeler are free. You can download and use it without any restriction. The only restriction is to test on the web application.

Bizagi Modeler and Bizagi Studio can be used free of charge, and need no licensing. Bizagi Studio supports a maximum of twenty (20) Users in development and testing environments.

Bizagi Engine is the only product that requires the User licensing described above, to enable end users to participate in the automated business process.
