The engine of the simulation is provided by Lanner, our technological ally for this topic, so there are some elements which are not supported for simulation like:
Complex gateways.
Transactional Sub-Processes.
Gateways which not entirely define as converging or diverging (exclusively). Meaning, that a gateway should be either (convergent or divergent), but not both or none.
Start events of the multiple start type.
In addition to this, please check that tasks having detail for its implementation property, should not be using the "OTHER" value (choose "UNSPECIFIED" instead).

sorry but I don't understand the UNSPECIFIED property? About what?
testing your product I see that didn't work neither the:
event-based gateways (none of 3 types)
the flow of messages between pools, if the receiving pool don't start with a message
the configuration of the tasks "start quantity" , "completion quantity"
the loop tasks (no loop despite the configuration)
the event-subproces
the simulation give me the following message:
"The simulation has failedPlease ensure that your model is compliant with BPMN2.0 standard and is supported by the Simulation engine"but there isn't documentation about what is supported by the simulation engine.
The unspecified property that I am talking about is on Service Task at the advanced tab. Please note the attached image where there is an option called: implementation.
If you have a service task with implementation=unspecified will not fail the simulation, but if you have it with implementation=other will fail.
I've read Alessandro's comment above, and it certainly looks like event-based gateways are not supported in the simulation module, at least not in the process validation stage. I'm using the latest version of the Modeler. Can you please confirm this is in fact a limitation? What other limitations are there as far as simulation is concerned?

Hi Daniel, Juan.
I would be very interested in any information regarding limitation of Simulation as well.
Kind Regards,
Nari.
Dear Nari,
In order to best help you to answer your question, please explain us your question.
Thank you in advance
