Suspend a Case, not aborting it

Hello,

What is the best practice in Bizagi to suspend a case for a while, not aborting it. This is useful when we don't have management on customer action, for example if a task execution depends on a costumer response and this is not foreseen in the process modeling. There is cases that after six months the customer did not answer yet. The intention is to avoid that a task executor have to deal with a pending task in his inbox that he doesn't has management on it, get used to overdue tasks and avoid erroneous Team Stats.

Thanks

Dear Giovani,

The best way to do it is creating a state process attribute which determines the real state of process: New/Assigned/Resolved/Suspended/Assess/Close. You can update this state through an expression.

Hello Juan,

What is the best way to update the case state with a script to data persist on database without finish a task? Because Bizagi only persist changes on database when the task is finished.

Thanks

Hello Giovani,

There are ways to do a force-commit of attributes. CHelper.setAttrib is one of them.
