SQL Server Express 2008 installation problem - Second posting

Dear Madam/Sir,

While installing Bizagi Studio 64 bit, I selected the default SQL Server Express 2008 SP3, and received a message to restart the computer. Even though I restarted my notebook a few times, the message persisted.

I found some relevant blogs in the internet such as http://blog.dragonsoft.us/2008/11/08/tip-installing-sql-server-2008-reboot-required-check-fails/, but I had no such key in the registry of my notebook.

I have SQL instances already installed due to Visual Studio installation (please see the attachment). However, we tried to install Bizagi Studio on a brand new notebook with no SQL, and come across the same problem, i.e. to restart the computer.

I am using Microsoft Windows 7 Enterprise SP1.

Please note that this my second post of the trouble; my first posting was about one week ago, for which a received a message saying "The status for SQL Server Express 2008 installation problem has been changed to In Progress." dated 08/10/2015.

I will appreciate your expedited response, I am teaching Business Process Management at a university in Turkey, and I will start introducing Bizagi in 2 weeks.

Kind regards,

Levent Alhan

Dear Levent,

We want to share with some articles about SQL Server:

However, you can download and install first SQL Server Express from Microsoft: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=30438, and then install only Bizagi Studio without SQL Server.

Finally, please follow this article to install Bizagi Studio: http://help.bizagi.com/bpmsuite/en/index.html?install_bizagi_bpm_suite.htm.

Dear Juan,

Thank you for your reply.

Our IT support staff downloaded and installed SQL Server Express 2008 from Microsoft as you recommended.

We now receive the error messages attached when we try to create a new project.

I will appreciate if you can suggest what we need to do in order to resolve these problems.

Would the Turkish language support issue be the cause for the problems?

Best regards,

Dear Levent,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Operating systems and settings in Turkish language are not supported. All involved machines will need to be set with regional settings different to those for Turkish language and culture (tr, tr-TR).
