Process stuck at exclusive gateway

Hello everyone,

I've got a weird problem which I can't figure out how to fix and even why that happens. In the workflow, I've used parallel gateways and a bunch of task between divergence and convergence of the parallel gateways. The problem is that when I perform the tasks between (after running the project), process will get stuck at one of the exclusive gateways.

I've attached the whole process workflow, and the part that the issue happens (from the bizagi portal).

I should say that all the business rules and the flows are defined properly, I suppose. If more details about the conditions etc. is needed please tell me to give in.

Any help would be appreciated.

Dear Hossein,

A member of our support team will contact you in order to reproduce the issue in Bizagi labs.

Hello Hossein,

Let me give you my 5 cents :)

Try to make sure that the number of flows coming into the parallel convergence symbol are the same as the number of flows going out of the parallel divergence symbol. If I'm reading your process correctly you have 7 flows going out and 14 coming in.

In order to do this use convergent exclusive symbols, one for each of the branches.

I'm attaching a simple example (not fully BPMN compliant but I think it gets the point across).

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Eduardo.

Hello Eduardo,

That is true. I did that a couple of days ago by tons of experiment and it worked finally (As you can see in the attached picture).

I hadn't seen such a workflow before, so it was a little bit awkward for me to have one like that.

Hope it helps whoever else faces this issue.

However, thanks for your response.

I have some processes where this type of flow is required and the same thing happened to me the first time I came across one of those :)

I'm glad you managed to find the solution.
