Problems with getting my process models in the Bizagi Suite Xpress

Dear,

I’m using Bizagi Process Modeler and the Bizagi Studio Xpress Edition for my graduation project. Currently I’ve encountered some problems with the software and I hope to find some solutions and answers to my questions.

1. Since the last update of the Bizagi Process Modeler (version 2.5) and the Bizagi BPM Suite Xpress (version 10.1) the “Run Workflow” button in the Process Modeler doesn’t work. When I open a process model (or make one on the spot) and push the “Run Workflow” button nothing happens. I checked my security software settings and nothing is blocking the Bizagi software. To make sure of this I tried this on multiple computers with different security software. Next to that in the older version of Bizagi Process Modeler the “Run Workflow” button is working correctly for smaller process models.

2. When I use the older version of the Bizagi Process Modeler (version 2.4) and the Bizagi BPM Suite Xpress (one version before 10.1) the “Run Workflow” model is working for small process models. However when I work with larger process models that are necessary in my thesis the Bizagi BPM Suite crashes and pop-up appears which states Bizagi Studio (Xpress AnyCPU) has stopped working (I attached a snapshot of the pop-up). Is there a fix for this error that keeps happening with the older version of the PM and the Suite?

3. Is there a limit to the size of the process models if you want to use them in the Bizagi Suite? I’m working with models that have a lot of subprocesses, in total around the 30 subprocesses in a process model.

4. As a solution to the not working “Run Workflow” button I tried recreate the model directly into the Bizagi Studio, however I found that the process modeler inside the Bizagi Studio is different (has less options) and I have trouble editing the subprocesses this way. Is there a way to add and edit subprocesses in this process modeler (the normal buttons for editing the subprocess doesn’t work)?

Hopefully I can get some helpful feedback so I can continue using Bizagi products within my graduation project. I already invested a lot of time in modeling my processes in the Bizagi Process Modeler and would like to see these processes being properly expanded as working workflow models.

I really appreciate any help you can provide.

Best regards,

Dear,

When I try to install a template like the Help Desk tamplate for example, it says "There are integrity errors in Bizagi metadata"...can anyone help me? Also when I try to open a process I modeled on the Bizagi Process Modeler, it says "Cannot open the model, it was created with a newer version of Bizagi Process Modeler".

Thanks anyway

Dear Breno,

Thank you for your interest in Bizagi.

You have reported two questions:

Dear,

The second problem it's because when I "Run Workflow" and opens on the Bizagi Studio, the Bizagi Studio doesn't have a new version of the Bizagi Process Modeler, some tools doesn't have on Bizagi studio, so my process doesn't work really well on Bizagi Studio...to not mention that the Process Modeler on the Bizagi Studio is totally incomplete.

Thank you for your attention

I agree with Breno. I cant bring process models into Studio that were created in Process Modeller. I get the message that they are created in a newer version! The trial isn't going well so far!

Dear Users,

There are some differences between the freeware Process Modeler and the Process Modeler bundled in the Bizagi Studio and we are working on eliminating them in a future release.

Please use directly the Run Workflow option from the Modeler to avoid getting version-compliance error messages (also by this way, you are one-click away from running those modeled processes

as applications).

If running your processes is not working as expected, please elaborate a little further about the expected behavior.

For instance, if your diagram contains more than 1 pool consider sending us the model to modeler@bizagi.com so that we can assist best.

Best regards

Dear,

I just created a new project on Bizagi Studio, but when I run it, the page just keep loading forever and doesn't load at all. I would like to know if you guys are doing some kind of maintenance or patch, because the other project I created worked perfectly.

Thanks
