Mapping Variables to a Document Template

Hi there!!We do have 2 dates fields, start date and end date, but in the template provided we need to show Day / Month / Year individually. We tried to use the existing date format in the Mapping Wizard in order to divide the different dates elements but an error message appears stating that the Format Function can't be used on the mapping (which is really odd, 'cos why you put a feature in that place that can't be used). But anyway, moving ahead we tried to create variables and put those variables on the template, but there is no way to show the variables on the mapping wizard. So, what is the right procedure to achieve this situation? Thanks in advance!!

Dear Diego,

In order to do what you need is to split the date into individual attribute (Day, Month and year) using a rule. Then, you can use each field as you need to be mapped in the document

To do so, you need to add like this:

var Startdate= <Myprocess.Startdate>

<Myprocess.startday> = Startdate.Day;

<Myprocess.startmonth> = Startdate.Month;

<Myprocess.startyear> = Startdate.Year;

Check the following C# example: https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.datetime.month%28v=vs.110%29.aspx
