Dear Leonardo,

According to your question, Bizagi uses a type of message for end users. It is not like you need, pop-up windows, but, the way how it works is friendly. It is used when you are working with validations.

Validations are customized error messages displayed in the Work Portal informing the end user that data is missing or an error occurred in an activity. Validation messages are usually defined in On Exit Actions or in Table Validations.

  • If a validation is thrown when clicking Next in an activity, the process will halt and the error message will be displayed.
  • If a Validation is thrown when trying to save a new record of a table, then the new record will not be saved, and the message will be displayed instead

Hi,

when i want to display a message to a user (like a popup message), i'm using "CHelper.ThrowValidationError("text message")".

But in this function, the title of the little window is fixed

"you have to control the following elements" (translation from french).

It would be nice if ThrowValidation had a second string parameter to modify the title of this window.

An other solution would be to have a new PopupMessage(title, text) function.Regards

Dear Philippe,

You can localize the work portal items to french include those Validation messages. When you enable more than one language you have to make sure that your process' objects (process name, form's controls, roles, etc) are translated to avoid a mixture of languages in the Work Portal. When you enable a language other than the ones supported out-of-the-box by Bizagi you must translate all objects, including Bizagi 's menus so the Work Portal will be correctly displayed. This article shows how to define localizations for:

Hello,

It's not a pb of translation : i don't want to modify always this message in my application but modify the title depending on the functionnal context ThrowValidationError is used.

For example, if i have a button in one form to access to a webservice to get the meteo of today, i want to display the result in a popup box with title "Meteo of today" ; if i use ThrowvalidationError, i have always the same message and i can't modify it.

The syntax of the function is: CHelper.ThrowValidationError("sMessage")

The parameter of this function is the error message to be displayed when the validation is thrown. The ThrowValidationError function is found in the Data Validation category.
