How can inhibit the creation of a new record when running a new instance of a process?

I need to inhibit the creation of a new record in the Process Entity. Is there any way to produce this behavior in the form of a process activity?thanks

Dear Luis,

I want to implement a process of incident management. In my company there is nothing similar yet (no ERP, no legacy system to fulfill this mission).

We are thinking of using BizAgi just for this porpouse. The incident entity is the main table of this process however, in a first approach, we need a very simple way to record the incident.

And only after the incident is registered will we instantiate some processes to control the lifecycle of incidents. So we have a process BizAgi to make the registration of incidents, with one activity (for now) "the Incident Record."

We want this form to be able to recover existing incidents to do update or delete, and also to the inclusion of new incidents. But when we're making a update, BizAgi always includes a new record (empty) inside the incident's table.

Do you understand?

Dear Pedro

Taking into account that you describe, we kindly recommend you to first review our "help desk" free template. In this Internal Help Desk Process, we involve the main activities which are carried out to resolve submitted incidents.

For your specific requirements, you may consider making some changes to the Process such as: to include in the first activity a search to related subjects of existing incidents. In this way, you can have a different transition if the incident is a new one, or you may terminate the Process according to your business logic.

Note that in order to use a more sophisticated scenario involving this search, you will need to include in your data model design the proper relationships and attributes (such as a collection of your same Process entity, so that your search can load similar incidents).
