Visio export error "object reference not set to an instance of an object" (64-bit 2.5.1.1)
Hi,
I am unable to export any Bizagi file into Visio. Trying this results in the error "object reference not set to an instance of an object".
I am using the 64-bit version of Bizagi version 2.5.1.1 and I'm uploading the file in question.
Also, can anyone confirm that this object reference is not in any sense an editable object in a Bizagi diagram but more to do with the C++ code?
Many thanks in advance. Hope to contribute to this community myself in the future.
Dear Eugene,
Thank you for your feedback.
The posted error is alerting about something which couldn't be exported properly to Visio.
It is likely that it is a bug, and therefore, in order to efficiently diagnose this issue, we would very much appreciate if you could send us this specific model to modeler@bizagi.com

Dear Daisuke,
Many thanks for your quick response!
I will send the file to the above e-mail address. However, creating a new blank file and attempting to export to visio creates the exact same error message.
Many thanks,
Eugene

Dear Sampras,
Thank you for your feedback.
Please keep in mind that in order to export to Visio, you need to have it installed in locally on the machine performing the export.
For more information about supported Visio versions, refer to:

Best regards,
Hi
I am using the 64-bit v2.6.0.4 and am receiving the message:
"object reference not set to an instance of an object"
Did you manage to offer a fix to the enquirer above?
If so, can you publish a fix/workaround?
I get the message even when trying to export a single element to a .vsd file - not even a full diagram.
Many thanks for any advice
Dear Alex,
Please, make sure you have Microsoft Visio installed when you export your diagrams.
What version of Visio do you have?
Check this article: http://help.bizagi.com/processmodeler/en/index.html?visio_documentation.htm out.

Dear Zuluaga
Am running Windows 7 Enterprise with Microsoft Visio 2013 is installed.
When exporting, am getting the "object reference not set to an instance of an object" message.
Have tried with Visio both started and shutdown. It makes no difference.
Any assistance appreciated.

Dear Alex,
Thank you for your feedback.
By now, you can publish to SharePoint (Microsoft Office Sharepoint Server 2010/2007 and Sharepoint Services 3.0). Actually, your version is not supported by now, it will be included in a future release.
As workaround you may do these steps:

Many thanks for your help Juan.
Was not aware that Visio 2013 would not be supported.
Will seek out an older installation of Visio 2010 where it might work.

Juan,
Has any notice for the Visio 2013 issue come out yet? Or better yet, can Bizagi export into VSD/ vsdx format without needing to synch up with visio? Simply by exporting the file format? Thank you.
I haave the same problem
please, I hope your tips or recomendatons.
thankyou,
Nibaldo
Hi everyone,
Experiencing the same problem here.
Tried with several different maps (simple to complex) and always get the same error!
Have the latest Bizagi and Visio installed - any solution?
Thanks,
Michael
Hello!
Same problem, using Bizagi 3.0.0.015 (64-bit), Visio 2013 Have this issue with different models.
Hope you'll help
So does this mean that we must have Visio 2010 installed to even export a Bizagi Model to .vsd format? Having Visio 2013 is not sufficient?
Dear Users,
At the moment, Bizagi Modeler v3.0.0.022 supports Microsoft Visio 2010, 2007, 2003.

The message "Object not set to instance of Object" means that you are
trying to use an object which has not been initialized. That is, you
either set it to null, or you never set it to anything at all. The
runtime throwing a NullReferenceException always means the same thing:
you are trying to use a reference. The reference is not initialized (or
it was initialized, but is no longer initialized). More about....NullReferenceException

Dear Users,
Our product team is working and it is included in our road map. This feature will be upgraded and released to next version, probably for March of the next year.

Hello,
please answer the basic question. I doubt that it is a bug.
The failure still occurs and I think there is a mistake made by the operator (me) behind it. Last time I solved it but unfortunately I did not document how.
So please explain what this message means.
Thanks a lot.
