Need to use the same publish config between users

I have a similar problem to this person:

http://feedback.bizagi.com/en/topic/publish-config-exporting

I can create and publish a diagram, and when I open it again it retains the same publish configuration that I had before. But... when another user opens the file, they get a different publish configuration. Even when I re-publish and save the bpm file, the other users keep their old publish configuration. This is a significant source of errors for us, because each person who wants to publish the diagram has to manually re-order the tasks (which for a complex diagram is quite time consuming and error prone).

I'm using Bizagi Modeler version 3.1.0.011.

In the thread linked above, the suggested solution was to export the model to the cloud. That is not an option in our organisation as we cannot use the cloud. The bpm files are stored on a local shared drive.

Is there some way to ensure that when I publish the diagram, the next user will be able to publish it with the same publish configuration?

Dear David,

You can use our BPMC (Collaborative process modeling) option. Collaborative process modeling requires a Model to be stored in a location where you, and your team, can access it. This means you need a network connection in order to be able to access the shared model.

Your collaboration models can be saved on your company's file server. After sharing a model give your team the permissions to the file and folder through Windows' Sharing options.

Right-click the folder and the .bpmc file and click the arrow next to Share with. Select Specific people to add the necessary people. The invitees will have access to the model.

Juan,

Thank you for your response. We have trialled the .bpmc files which works for our team.

Note that using the Collaborative option does not in itself address the original issue, which is that each user has their own unique configuration file. When different team members publish the same model they get different results, which is a source of errors and wasted effort for our team. The specific portion is in DocumentationSettings.xml, element DiagramDocumentationSettings.

We have developed a work-around now which we believe will work for our team, but you may consider whether the DiagramDocumentationSettings element would be better applied to the model, rather than to each user.

Regards,

David
