Installation without admin rights (win7)?

Thanks to the Bizagi team for a very useful toolset - however in a corporate environment we are limited by spreading the use of the tool due to the need for admin rights to install on win7. Is there a workaround or is it mandatory? In a previous version (2.7.0.2 32bit) of Bizagi Modeler the entire program folder could be copied over to another computer and Bizagi Modeler would still work. With the current version (31.0.011 64bit) this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

Thanks for your help!

Dear Tobias,

We were not able to reproduce it with our latest 3.1 version. Please download it from: https://bizagi.sharefile.com/d-s17703f1cc2e4193a and upgrade it. We were able to copy the installation folder and paste in another drive without any problem and open the Modeler successfully.

I confirm that the reason was a different one: the Microsoft .net framework was not installed on the computer to which we copied over and the resulting error message of Bizagi did not indicate that reason. I consider it therefore resolved, thank you for your quick answer.

I'm seeing this behaviour currently.

Copy of Bizagi program folder, in toto, to a target machine results in Bizagi closing immediately when launched. No error, no indication of why. Can anyone suggest:

a) absolute requirements in terms of matching from source to target systems?

b) does location change of Bizagi program folder have effect?

c) what debug / trace flagging is available on the .exe to aid finding fault?

Thanks

Dear Malcolm,

Regarding your question in both sites, you need to check our system requirements (at: http://help.bizagi.com/process-modeler/en/index.html?system_requirements.htm), then you need to look for on Event viewer if there is any error message.

Modeler requires some admin rights in order to create and temporary files.

We look forward to hearing from you
