How to use the ConnectorGraphicsInfo from XPDL while importing?

Hello Bizagi-Team!

First: Bizagi Modeler is ja great and easy to use BPMN-editor! It is the best way to start with this business and to prepare your company for use of an Process-Engine!

One Problem I have anyway: When I export my Model with Bizagi Modeler to XPDL I get i.a. the following transition-element within my result-xpdl file.

When I re-import this file, the selected Coordinate-elements (in the picture below) seem to be ignored. Even when I delete this information, I get the same Model while importing.

/keUinIQABCEAAAhCAAAQgAAEIQOCDE6i+ZttysUuQPjg3ug8BCEAAAhCAAAQgAAEIQAACEIAABHYj0C3Q7FYjBUEAAhCAAAQgAAEIQAACEIAABCAAAQhkBBBoCAgIQAACEIAABCAAAQhAAAIQgAAEIHBhAgg0Fx4AqocABCAAAQhAAAIQgAAEIAABCEAAAgg0xAAEIAABCEAAAhCAAAQgAAEIQAACELgwgf8HvaFQHZM3zDQAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

So why does Bizagi not use this information to get own line connections like they are defined in XPDL?

Is it a Bug? For example the following connection can not be created via import only.

/GUAAAAASUVORK5CYII=

Thanks a lot for your support!

best regards

Oliver

Dear Oliver,

Thank you for your feedback.

Indeed this is known issue, in which the pointed out coordinates included in the exported XPDL are not enough to re-draw the edited routing for the connection.

This is so because additional information would be needed for that; and such detail is not compliant to the official XPDL standard (you will notice that a saved .bpm model in Bizagi does keep the routed-connection information when reopened).

Well, one advantage of the current solution is obvious:

While generating xpdl-files you can ignore the line connections completely and bizagi will do this for you.

But is it possible to switch between these two solutions while importing xpdl-files? If not is this a good idea and has a chance to be implemented in a future release?

Have a nice day!
