auto connecting objects - sequenz flow conecting

Hi there,

i create many objects like a brainstorming session. After the creating i wish to auto-connect the generated task.

A function like click-ordering via ctrl+mouse button and now connect the objects were a genius feature for fast connection information in expert-mode. Holding a keyboard-key and connect two objects at once will be a nice feature too.

Placing the tasks and events with the hovereffect after a nother object are really good. Manual connecting objects with the connectors cost a lot of time...

Thanks

Gordon

Dear Gordon,

Advanced functions using keyboard shortcuts will be considered as an improvement idea.

Take into account that to manually connect objects, you have more than 1 quick-connect option:

1) When dragging and dropping a new flow, you may locate its endpoints at the origin and target shape for an automatic connection (dropping when these are highlighted as shown):

2) Indeed using the pie menu is a useful option for modeling. This option will also aid you while connecting two existing objects (and not only to include new ones).

To connect existing objects, use the pie menu option for the shape from which the connection should start off:

Then, choose any shape (doesn't have to be the same type of your target shape) and drag it into the existing shape:

Hello,I am new to this modeller but very impressed already. This idea posted by Daisuke Okuda this idea also comes up to me and now i wanted to ask, if such ideas will be implemented within feature releases, or is this option already part of the BPMN suite by bizagi?best regards, peter

Dear Peter,

Thank you for your feedback and interest in Bizagi.

Indeed these idea posted by our community users are great ideas we want to consider as improvements in future releases (i.e, Gordon is suggesting more keyboard shortcuts to promote quicker modeling connections).

However, we do not have an ETA for such features (no release date or version planned for them yet).

Those clarifications made by me in which you may use both the pie menu or dragging and dropping in the right spots, are already available for both Bizagi Process Modeler and the BPM Suite.

Best regards,

Perfect, I had the same question about how to auto-connect existing shapes -- I'm glad it's possible to do this easily! It's nice to be able to create / delete / rearrange elements when quick drafting or brainstorming, and then connect them once you've got them in place.
